AXIS M3945-R makes it easy to monitor activity inside the bus. And it can be mounted looking outwards to monitor activities on the road. It delivers sharp, 2 MP image quality with great detail. With up to 60 fps, it reliably captures fast-moving events – ideal for forward-facing installations that require clear details of what’s happening on the road ahead. Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR deliver true colors and great detail in challenging light or near darkness. In addition, a built-in microphone and support for audio-in let you complement video material with audio, making it easier to understand what happened during an incident.

Built for tough onboard conditions
This rugged onboard camera complies with transportation-industry regulations for buses, including UNECE R10, UNECE R118, and IEC 60721-3-5 5M3. It’s IK10-, IP66-, IP67-rated and comes with either an M12 or RJ45 connector for flexible indoor installation. And, when used with AXIS TP3826-E, a IP6K9k-rated housing, it can be mounted externally to withstand tough weather. What’s more, scene profiles make it easy to optimize image quality by selecting the right settings for your environment – without the need for manual adjustments.

Reduce costs and secure your installation
AXIS M3945-R shares the same form-factor, backplate, and accessories as other Axis onboard cameras, so it’s easy to upgrade existing installations without the need to drill new holes. It comes in two variations with different lens options (3.6 mm or 2.8 mm). Various lens options are also available as accessories, allowing you to choose a wider or narrower field of view. Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based cybersecurity platform, safeguards the device and offers FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage and operations. Furthermore, Axis Zipstream significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality.
