This cellular backbox offers lower total cost of ownership and like all Axis high-quality devices, it’s easy to install and configure. It connects directly to your existing 4G or 5G PCN with no trenching required. Each backbox can be used for one AXIS P32 or AXIS P14 camera, and their form-factors perfectly match for easy mounting. Simply insert an encrypted PCN SIM card, mount the camera directly on top, install the back box, and attach the camera wherever PCN coverage and AC power are available. Plus, with support for PoE, it connects to a mains power in a light pole or a preexisting midspan.
Wide area coverage with excellent image quality
This backbox leverages broad PCN coverage, enabling you to monitor extensive areas and gain greater situational awareness without exceeding available bandwidth. Our high-quality devices with Axis Zipstream and the AVI codec optimize bandwidth while capturing high-quality images across wide areas. With reliable uplink, they deliver the same image quality and performance as fiber or Wi-Fi networks, and all while supporting AI-powered analytics and advanced capabilities.

While PCNs ensure great scalability, security, and wide-area coverage, AXIS TP3604-E offers reliable uplink on your PCN, with high bandwidth and low latency. It requires an encrypted SIM card to be authorized onto the network, and data is never sent outside your PCN. Furthermore, with secure communication between the backbox’s antennas and the antennas on the PCNs access points (base stations), your data is always secure during transfer.
