Easy to install and update
AXIS A4131-E is easy to install, on single gang boxes or mounted on the wall. With its IP65 and IK07 ratings, it’s built to handle tough conditions, making it a great fit for harsh environments both indoors and outdoors. Furthermore, it can be remotely managed by Axis network door controllers, allowing you to access new features, configure the device, and apply security updates from anywhere—directly within your security system through AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry or third-party systems.
Designed with security in mind
Out-of-the-box support for Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) ensures secure bidirectional communication. And Secure Channel Protocol (SCP) protects credentials and cryptographic keys. There’s also an EAL6+ Certified Secure Element for added protection. Plus, tamper detection informs you of any attempts to interfere with the device. Transparent mode provides secure end-to-end encryption by storing the encryption key on the door controller rather than on the reader. This prevents key theft if the reader is ever tampered with. Furthermore, this OSDP Secure Profile verified device also offers strong interoperability with third-party access control systems that support OSDP.
